Song to Sylvia

Ariel, de Sylvia Plath, habitou a pia do banheiro por meses. De repente, surgiu a canção, na língua dela. O desenho veio depois de cantada a melodia.

"I know the bottom, she says - I know it with my great tap root."
("Eu conheço o fundo, ela diz - conheço com minha própria raiz")
Silvia Plath

Song to Sylvia

I know, my darling,
Your eyes are now a blur
You´re bleeding in the dark
behind the mask which hides your fur

And know, my sister,
That promises can´t keep
But hear the weeping rain
And see: the storm is only asleep

Foolish one, can´t you see?
there’s no myths or flowers for you to pick
My hands are burning, so take my eyes
And we dance into this hall of lies

One day, we’ll meet, baby
in the same flash of the night
where I don’t even know you
but I´ll recognize your bite

Someday, my darling,
You´ll be shining in your roots
your eyes will blink all diamonds
Breeze will whisper us shortcuts

Foolish one, can´t you see?
there’s no myths or flowers for you to pick
My hands are burning, so take my eyes
And we dance into this hall of lies
.
.

A Plath é uma de minhas inspiração, Fernandão.

Rapaz, assim você me quebra.
Preciso estudar mais o inglês...
Mas acho que absorvi a mensagem.

Grande abraço, meu camarada!

Talvez a boa arte de viver, em nossos dias, seja mesmo "to dance in a hall of lies", mas sem ficarmos cínicos...
